Granny Squares

Another Square

flowery

Today I thought I’d share a square that I made out of a book called “99 Granny Squares to crochet”, published by Leisure Arts inc.  The pattern I made was number 2 in the book.  I was a little worried that it might be a bit above my level of experience, but there’s only one way to learn! I’ve found this book pretty good, and it has a nice variety of squares at different levels of expertise – but doesn’t say anywher how hard each square is, so its pretty much just trial and error for me at the moment.  I don’t know if this is a taboo thing or not but I thought I would post the pattern, having properly acknowledged the book.  The pattern itself was designed by Nair Caswell.

I found the most difficult thing in making this square was following the directions for the final round – all of the “below”, “in front of”, “before” etc etc confused me to no end at first, but once I made sense of it, I was quite happy with how the square turned out.

Below I have reproduced the pattern for number 2 from the book 99 Granny Squares to crochet, pattern by Nair Caswell.
